★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 44 reviews · 7 hours (approx.) · from $162

Combine Tulum’s oceanfront Maya ruins with a jungle adventure park. You’ll ride an ATV, tackle zip lines and a rappel, swim through a cave cenote, and eat lunch. Guides such as Nacho, Jorge, CJ, Pedro, and Rubén have earned strong praise, but expect a long day, possible waiting, an added Tulum tax, and optional purchases.

“3 stars mostly because of this: 1) they won’t pick you up at your hotel. They will only pick you up at the super market for ease of pick up. 20 mins from the strip, around 600 pesos/30 dollars. Pick up was at 8:50 am but we left at 9:45 am 2) they try to sell water shoes for the cenote part. And you don’t need it. The people who sell in the travel bus versus the jungle are different. Buy in the jungle in case anything breaks 3) food was good but not vegetarian friendly 4) tour guide was great, all other staff are pretty robotic with the guests.…”

“Pros: ziplining was great, Atvs were cool, cenote was great and refreshing after all that sweating. The food was pretty good too. It seemed like a home cooked Mexican meal. Cons: the van we were placed in was not air conditioned and it seemed like they didn’t really care. We literally couldn’t breathe in there. The horseback riding wasn’t that great. I thought the horses would be a little better taken care of but they are not. They seemed stressed and tired. Won’t be doing horseback riding again unless it’s at a stable. The tour guide was great. He remembered names and gave us a great history on cenotes. If…”
